Meet Your Instructor: Monique Kleinhans

Textile artist Monique Kleinhans works with a collage of techniques: traditional patchwork, bobbin-work, thread painting, watercolors, felting, and weaving. Her palette includes hand-dyed and hand-painted fabrics, and her work often features three-dimensional objects and explorations of fibers and textures. Born in the Flathead Valley and raised on the same farm as her father and grandfather, Monique finds inspiration in her deep family connections, the beauty of our valley, and adventures to discover Montana’s endless landscapes, plants, and wildlife. Through her work Monique celebrates and honors her heritage and the beauty around us with color, texture, fabric, and fiber.
